Golf is an outdoor sport where player as an individual or from varied teams strike a ball targeting a hole using various clubs. The game basically originated from Scotland and has been played for at least five centuries in the British Isles. The two basic forms of playing golf are match play and stroke play.
 
Nationwide Tour is the developmental tour for the U.S. based PGA, Professional Golfer’s Association Tour, and features professional golfers who have either failed to score well at the Qualifying School to earn their PGA Tour card, or who have done so but then failed to win enough money to stay at that level. The Nationwide Tour is one of the nine tours on which Official World Golf Ranking points are available, and one of only two developmental tours that offer ranking points.
 
Boo Weekley was a golf player who played nationwide tours. He was born in July 23, 1973 in Miton, Florida. His best Nationwide Tour was played in 2006 where he won National Mining Association Pete Dye Classic. His Nationwide Tour Playoff Record was 0-1. His 2006 Nationwide Tour, after failing to crack the top 10 in his first five starts of the season, came on strong in his next four starts with top-10 finishes at The Rex Hospital Open top 5, Knoxville Open Tied 7th and the Chattanooga Classic Tied 3rd.
 
Weekley was member of the PGA Tour in 2002 and the Nationwide Tour in 2003 to 2005. He made the cut in 13 of 22 starts on the 2005 Nationwide Tour, with one top-10 finish. He made the cut in 14 of 23 events on the 2003 Nationwide Tour. He earned 2002 PGA Tour card at 2001 PGA Tour National Qualifying Tournament in his first trip to the finals. He made the cut in five of 24 starts during his rookie season on Tour in 2002.  He played high school golf with PGA TOUR member Heath Slocum and Nationwide Tour member Bubba Watson.
 
Weekley’s superior approach and dedication towards the sport made him surpass the other players of his epoch. However, he gained prominence only after he won the first Nationwide Championship title in his career and became an international celebrity and a symbol of hope to millions.
