Erin Crocker
Erin Crocker was born in 1981 and is a race car driver. She drives in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series the #98 Evernham Motorsports owned Dodge Ram. When she was younger, she played varsity lacrosse, soccer, and tennis on high school and college teams. Additionally, she writes a article every week on Wednesday at NASCAR.com. Her weekly article is called "On the Road with Erin Crocker." At the age of 7, Crocker first started racing quarter midgets in the Custom Quarter Midget Club in Thompson, Connecticut.
Her first year of competition was enough for her to be named the Most Improved Novice. From 1993 to 1996, years in which she was in middle and high school, Erin won three Northeast Regional Quarter Midgets of America championships and several other awards. In 1997, she achieved one of her most important achievements: being the youngest and first female driver to win a race at the track. The following year, she competed with Mini sprint at Whip City and the Central New York Mini Sprint Association(CNYMS).
In 2004, Crocker drove for Ford Motor Company's driver development program and had the opportunity to test a Ford sprint for Bob East and Steve Lewis that season. That year, she also became the first World of Outlaws driver who won a feature race in Tulare, California. The next season, she joined Evernham Motorsports' driver development program and raced the ARCA RE/MAX Series, collecting 3 top 5's, five top 10's, and two poles in six starts. She has made three Busch starts this season and is currently ninth in the Rookie of the Year standings.
