Carlos Contreras
Carlos Contreras is a Mexican driver who was born on June 8, 1970 in México. He is the first Mexican driving in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. He is currently driving for FitzBradshaw Racing in the NASCAR Busch Series. When he was 30 years old, in 2000, he made his first attempt in the Busch Series with the Hispanic Racing Team.
He was unable to break into the field driving the #09 CICLON Energy Drink Chevrolet at Homestead-Miami. Thus, he debuted in 2003 with Jay Robinson Racing. He competed with the #49 Fox Sports Espanol/Citizen Watches Ford at California Speedway, finishing in the 26th position. At Homestead-Miami, Contreras made one start for Innovative Motorsports driving the #48 Scunci U Style/Goulds Pumps Chevrolet and finishing in the 17th place.
With FitzBradshaw Racing, he returned to the Bush Series in 2005. He drove the #12 Dodge in just one race and the #40 Dodge in five. at Homestead-Miami, he achieved his best finish in the 25th position. In the season 2006, he returned to FitzBradshaw Racing and had his best finish at Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez when he finished 11th.
In the Craftsman Truck Series, he debuted with the #68 Hot Wheels Dodge the 1999 NAPA Auto Parts 200 at California Speedway. The 2000 season he competed in the Hot Wheels Dodge for Impact Motorsports. He finished 17th in points that season and got two top tens. During the season 2002, he returned to the series with Petty Enterprises. This was another solid season for this driver.
