Mike Wallace



Mike Wallace was born on MArch 10, 1959. He and his brothers Kenny and Rusty Wallace are also drivers and are passionate about racing too. His father was Russ Wallace, another important driver. He grew-up surrounded by racing and decide to follow the steeps of his father. His daughter Chrissy and nephew Steve Wallace continue with this family tradition of racing. He drives the #09 Miccosukee Dodge part-time in the NEXTEL Cup Series and the #1 Miccosukee Indian Gaming Dodge Charger for Phoenix Racing in the Busch Series (full-time).

In 1990, he made his debut in Busch Series at Martinsville Speedway in the season-closing Winston Classic. He started in the 24th position and finished 6th driving the #40 Lowe's Food Chevrolet. During the next season, he ran for different teams in nine Busch races where he achieved a third-place finish at Lanier Raceway. Driving the Jimmy Means-owned car, he debuted in Winston Cup at the Pyroil 500 and finished 31st. That was the first time since 1950 that three brothers competed against each other since Rusty and Kenny was also participating.

In 2005, he began racing for MMM full-time. He was released by MMM when the season ended in spite of his finish (8th position) at the Pepsi 400. Thus, he moved to the Truck Series for Darrell Waltrip Motorsports and finished in the top-nine twice. In the Busch Series, he drove for Akins Motorsports, Evernham Motorsports, and Rusty Wallace, Inc. For the remainder of 2006, mike was signed by Miccosukee Resorts Dodge to be their full-time driver in order to replace Jason Keller.
