Kenny Wallace was born on August 23, 1963 and drives the #78 Furniture Row Racing Chevrolet in NASCAR Nextel Cup Series and the #22 AutoZone Ford Fusion for PPC Racing in the Busch Series. Additionally, he works for SPEED Chanel as on-air personality in different shows such as NASCAR Victory Lane and NASCAR RaceDay. He is member of a family of drivers; he is brother of Mike Wallace, and Rusty Wallace and uncle of Steve Wallace. He is the youngest of three brothers who grew surrounded by racing even before they were able to drive.In fact his father was Russ Wallace, one of the most formidable racers on the local dirt tracks. Due to the early success of him in these events, the family earned the nickname “Herman.” He won 400 races by that time. The first to call Kenny Herman was the track promoter Bob Miller who had noticed his boisterous behavior. This nickname has been with him throughout his career in racing. He joined his oldest brother Rusty in his team. During that time, Kenny had to work very hard because he was still in high school. He soon decided that his place was in the driver’s seat.He had his first race in 1982 and won the Rookie of the Year honors in 1986, year in which he joined the American Speed Association ranks. Besides his successful career, he is often recognized by his personality and characteristic laugh. Thanks to their results in 2004 and 2005, he is expected to be one of the most important competitors in the NASCAR Busch Series this year.
