Peyton Sellers

Peyton Sellers is a race car driver from the United States who competes in the NASCAR West Series and Busch Series. He was born in October 20, 1983 in Danville, Virginia, and started his racing career very early in his life. By 7 years old, Seller was already competing in karting races, and by the age of 13 he was driving open wheel sprint cars, collecting 11 feature wins in his first 20 races. After competing for several years in sprints, Sellers decided to try his hand in stock car racing on asphalt ovals. He competed at South Boston Speedway as a rookie, winning rookie of the year honors in the super-stock division. Sellers currently races in the NASCAR West Division, where he drives the #16 NAPA Auto Parts Chevrolet. He is currently the points leader, with his only win coming at Douglas County Speedway on July 1st, 2006.

Sellers competed in his first NASCAR Busch Series race at New Hampshire International Speedway, driving the #31 Chevrolet for Marsh Racing.  In the year 2000 Peyton moved to Orange County Speedway where he competed in the Limited Sportsman Division, winning 3 poles and 6 feature races and again gaining Rookie of the Year honors for this division. 2001 saw Peyton score 11 feature wins en- route to winning the Orange County Limited Sportsman Track Championship. In 2002 Peyton moved up once again, this time to the highly competitive Late Model Stock Car Division at South Boston Speedway. This season saw Peyton obtain Rookie of the Year honors once again. After a very successful Rookie year at South Boston, Peyton decided not to pursue a points chase in 2003. Peyton traveled to many different tracks for the sake of gaining experience. With numerous pole positions, laps led and top 5 finishes, 2003 was a great year for Peyton as he accomplished many of the goals he had set for himself. The 2004 season another great season for Peyton, with collecting his first win in the late model stock division and making his debut in the ARCA series, he also collected a pair of podium finishes at Virginia International Raceway and at Road Atlanta while gaining his SCCA drivers license. He is rumored to be planning on sharing the wheel of the #21 Chevrolet, which Kevin Harvick currently drives, part time in the series in 2007.
