Regan Smith
Regan Smith was born on September 23, 1983, in New York. He is a NASCAR driver in the Busch Series with Team Rensi Motorsport, driving the #35 McDonald's Ford Fusion. Previously, he has worked as a test driver for Kasey Kahne and Greg Biffle. As other successful drivers, he began his career very young, he was just four years old when he began to race go-karts, winning different regional and state championships over the next years.
When he was 12 years old, in 1995, his family moved to North Carolina. This was a great step forward for him and his career as driver. He, then, joined the World Karting Association and continued winning and growing. AS a result, he joined the factory supported team of Enzo Chiovitti three years later. In 1998, he began to compete in the Allison Legacy Series. Three years later, he started driving in the USAR Hooters Pro Cup Series and won four poles (consecutive).
He began with NASCAR in 2002, driving in the Craftsman Truck Series. He debuted at his 18 years old in the #63, a Ford F-150. His debut in Busch Series took place that year at Memphis Motorsports Park. He began 16th but finished 39th because a wreck. With Bost Motorsports, he moved to the Busch Series for a full-time ride in 2003. He achieved three top-20 finishes in spite of not having enough sponsorship or not sponsorship at all. He continues working hard in order to grow in his loved career. Currently, he is 21st in points and has a 10th-place finish at Lowe's Motor Speedway.
