Yannick Tremblay
NHL, the National Hockey League is a premier professional North American Sports League played in indoor stadiums. It’s divided into two conferences, each comprising of three divisions of ice hockey teams. The league was established in 1917 in Montreal, Quebec and it is composed of 30 teams out of which 24 teams based in U.S. and 6 in Canada. They have a regular season and playoffs leading to the Stanley Cup, which is the NHL Championship final. Yannick Tremblay is well known hockey player. He was born on 15th November 1975 in Pointe Trembles. His height is six feet two inch with weight 180 pounds. He is positioned as defenseman player and plays for Vancouver Canucks team. Yannick Tremblay played in the Quebec Midget Hockey League with Montreal-Bourassa in 1991-92. The next year he played hockey while finishing his program at Bourassa College then attended Saint Thomas University for a year. The young blueliner was chosen 145th overall by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the 1995 NHL Entry Draft while he was in the midst of two solid years with the QMJHL, Quebec Major Junior Hockey League Beauport Harfangs.
Tremblay spent most of the 1996-97 seasons in the AHL with the Saint John's Maple Leafs. He was a solid role player for the next two years. Upon his arrival in Atlanta, Tremblay became a key cog on the Thrasher blue line, scoring ten goals and 31 points in 1999-2000. Looking to build on his strong showing from the previous year, Tremblay's 2000-01 season would be limited to a mere 46 games before rebounding the next two seasons with 24 and 30 point seasons. In 2003-04, Tremblay missed the majority of the season and was limited to a mere 38 games. On the international stage, Tremblay represented Canada at the 2000 World Championships.
