White, Colin
NHL, the National Hockey League is a premier professional North American Sports League played in indoor stadiums. It’s divided into two conferences, each comprising of three divisions of ice hockey teams. The league was established in 1917 in Montreal, Quebec and it is composed of 30 teams out of which 24 teams based in U.S. and 6 in Canada. They have a regular season and playoffs leading to the Stanley Cup, which is the NHL Championship final. Colin White was born on December 12, 1977. He is a professional NHL hockey player. His height is 6 feet 4 inches and weight is 215 pounds. His position in the team is as the defenseman and he shoots left. He was drafted 49th overall in the 1996 NHL Entry Draft by the New Jersey Devils. While coming up through the junior ranks, he has played seven games for the Laval Titan and five games for the Hull Olympics in 1994-1995. In 1995-1996, his first full QMJHL, Quebec Major Junior Hockey League season, he has scored ten points in 62 games. The following year, he improved to 15 points in 63 games. In the post season, he had helped Hull capture the Memorial Cup championship. After the better part of three seasons with the AHL, American Hockey League's Albany River Rats, he made his NHL debut during the 1999-2000 season. In the playoffs, he has played all 23 games and helped the Devils win the Prince of Wales Trophy and their second Stanley Cup in franchise history. In 2000-2001, he helped lead the Devils to an Atlantic Division title with a club record 48 wins and 111 points and during the playoffs, helped the Devils win their second straight Prince of Wales Trophy before losing to the Avalanche in the Stanley Cup finals. After a solid rookie season, he was recognized as a member of the NHL's All-Rookie Team. He has played junior hockey in the QMJHL, including two plus seasons with Hull he had began the Quebec League career with Laval in 1994. Colin White is a young defenseman player in the team with amazing puck handling skills. He is talented youngster and a durable player, who plays strongly in his own end.
