Stephan, Tobias
NHL, the National Hockey League is a premier professional North American Sports League played in indoor stadiums. It’s divided into two conferences, each comprising of three divisions of ice hockey teams. The league was established in 1917 in Montreal, Quebec and it is composed of 30 teams out of which 24 teams based in U.S. and 6 in Canada. They have a regular season and playoffs leading to the Stanley Cup, which is the NHL Championship final. Stephan, Tobias was born on 21st January 1984 in Zurich, Switzerland. His height is 6 foot 2 inches and weight is 180 pounds. He appeared in 42 games with Kloten in 2006, posting a 15 to 19 to 7 record with a 2.79 goals-against-average and five shutouts. His position is that of a goaltender and has spent the past four seasons with Kloten, with a 2.86 goals-against-average with four shutouts in 2004 05. At the 2001 U-18 Championships, he captured the Best Goaltender Award. He has also played for Switzerland at the 2002 World U-18 and the 2002 and 2003 World Junior Championships. He was Dallas' second round selection and 34th overall at the 2002 NHL Entry Draft. Before his draft he played in the professional Swiss Hockey League first and then for the Kloten Flyers. Stephan, Tobias is remembered as a powerful skater with a lethal shot who back-checked responsibly and played the game cleanly. He, with all his dedication and devotion in his play has achieved many goals in his overall hockey-playing career. He had the ability of defeating the opponent easily by giving some extra hard work and efforts.
