Nikita Alexeev
NHL, the National Hockey League is a premier professional North American Sports League played in indoor stadiums. It’s divided into two conferences, each comprising of three divisions of ice hockey teams. The league was established in 1917 in Montreal, Quebec and it is composed of 30 teams out of which 24 teams based in U.S. and 6 in Canada. They have a regular season and playoffs leading to the Stanley Cup, which is the NHL Championship final.
Nikita Alexeev is NHL player who is currently playing with Tampa Bay Lightning team on Left Wing position. Nikita Alexeev was born on December 27, 1981 in Murmansk, Russia. His height is six foot five inches and weight is 215 pounds. The 1st round choice, 8th overall selection of the Tampa Bay Lightning in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft, Alexeev is a graduate of the Ontario Hockey League's Erie Otters.
Alexeev has few limits on how good he can become. A dimensional skater who has both good offensive and defensive instincts, the Murmansk, Russia native spent three seasons with the Otters, where he was a Third Team OHL, Ontario Hockey League All-Star and was voted one of the best skaters in the Ontario Hockey League during the 2000-01 season, winning the fastest skater and 150' dash at the 2000 CHL Central Hockey League Top Prospects skills event. In 2001-02 and 2002-03, Alexeev split his first professional seasons with the Lightning and their AHL, American Hockey League affiliate in Springfield. His regular season total statistics included 81 GP games played, 8 G goals, 6 A assists, 14 pts points and 16 PIM penalty minutes.
