Nate DiCasmirro
NHL, the National Hockey League is a premier professional North American Sports League played in indoor stadiums. It’s divided into two conferences, each comprising of three divisions of ice hockey teams. The league was established in 1917 in Montreal, Quebec and it is composed of 30 teams out of which 24 teams based in U.S. and 6 in Canada. They have a regular season and playoffs leading to the Stanley Cup, which is the NHL Championship final.
Nate DiCasmirro was born on September 27, 1978 in Atikokan, ONT. He plays at Defense position. In 2005-06 season, he spent the season in Grand Rapids AHL, American Hockey League on loan from Edmonton and set pro-career highs in assists and points in 72 games. In 2004-05 season, he played the season in Edmonton AHL with a pro-career high of 77 games. In 2003-04, he spent the season with Toronto AHL and set a pro-career high in goals in 71 games. In 2002-03, he played his first full pro season with Hamilton AHL and had 17 totals in 49 games. In 2001-02, he signed with Edmonton as a free agent at the conclusion of his college career and played one scoreless game with their AHL affiliate in Hamilton. In college career, he played four seasons of college hockey with St. Cloud State University with 136 totals and 156 penalty minutes in 147 career college games and earned WCHA, Western Collegiate Hockey Association Second Team All-Star honors in 2001-02. He was signed by Edmonton s a free agent on May 28, 2002 and signed by Boston as a free agent, July 17, 2006. His 2005-06 season total statistics included 72 GP; games played 16 G, goals, 36 A, assists, 52 pts, points and 97 PIM, penalty minutes.
