NHL, the National Hockey League is a premier professional North American Sports League played in indoor stadiums. It’s divided into two conferences, each comprising of three divisions of ice hockey teams. The league was established in 1917 in Montreal, Quebec and it is composed of 30 teams out of which 24 teams based in U.S. and 6 in Canada. They have a regular season and playoffs leading to the Stanley Cup, which is the NHL Championship final.
 
Jay Leach is a well known hockey player. He was born on 2nd September 1979 in Syracuse, New York. His height is six feet four inches, with weight 220 pounds. His position is defenseman and plays for Boston Bruins team. In 2005 06 he played most of the season in Providence American Hockey League, AHL with 16 totals and 100 PIM, penalty minutes in 72 AHL games. He was voted the team’s best defenseman in the AHL Bruins’ year-end awards.
 
In 2004 05 he began the season in Trenton East Coast Hockey League, ECHL with two assists in 11 games before signing a try-out agreement with Providence AHL on November 26th. He scored his first career AHL goal on December 8th at Albany. In 2003 04 split the season between four teams. He played 31 games in Trenton ECHL with 13 totals and 45 PIM before finishing the season in Bridgeport AHL with one assist in 23 Sound Tigers games. In 2002 03 he spent most of the season in Augusta ECHL with career-high of 19 totals and 162 PIM in 65 games.
 
Jay Leach is remembered as a powerful skater with a lethal shot who back-checked responsibly and played the game cleanly. He, with all his dedication and devotion in his play has achieved many goals in his overall hockey-playing career. He had the ability of defeating the opponent easily by giving some extra hard work and efforts.
