Jarome Iginla is one of the hockey players who was born on July 1st, 1977 in Edmonton, Alberta. He is a professional ice hockey player in the National Hockey League NHL. His height is 6 feet 1 inch and weight is 207 pounds. He was Calgary’s 3rd choice, 46th overall, in 2000 NHL Entry Draft and was selected by Edmonton in 2nd round of 2002 draft. In 2004, he was named MVP, most valuable player, of the Edmonton Road Runners, scoring 21-17-38 in 66 games for Edmonton’s AHL, American Hockey League. He was the fourth in scoring on the Road Runners, while he led the team in plus 13 shots on goal and tied for third in both goals and powerplay goals.
 
Iginla has appeared in 258 career NHL matches with the Ottawa Senators and New York Rangers, collecting 12 goals and 89 assists for 101 points, along with 149 penalty minutes. In 1999, he appeared in six games with Ottawa, collecting two penalty minutes. He made his NHL debut on October 31 at Atlanta. In 2000, he ranked third among NHL rookies with 30 assists and ninth among rookies with 33 points. The 30 assists and 33 points established career-highs. He tallied his first NHL goal on January 16 against Los Angeles. He has played 5 games during his initial period with the Oilers team before being reassigned to the minor leagues on October 24, 2005.
