The organization, with headquarters in Daytona Beach, Florida runs a series of weekly golf tournaments for elite female golfers from around the world from February to November each year. The LPGA was founded in 1950 by a group of 13 women. LPGA Tour's events are held in the United States.

White’s professional success was forecast by her victories at the 1975 U.S. amateur and the 1976 trans-national. She won her third title in 1983 at the Sarasota classic and captures her first two tournament titles in 1980.
She is a player known for her mental toughness owing to which many of her famous matches went the distance. Her superior approach and dedication to the game made her stand out from the crowd.
