Golf is an outdoor sport where player as an individual or from varied teams strike a ball targeting a hole using various clubs. The game basically originated from Scotland and has been played for atleast five centuries in the British Isles. LPGA stands for Ladies Professional Golf Association Tour. LPGA, in is an American organization for female professional golfers. The organization, with headquarters in Daytona Beach, Florida runs a series of weekly golf tournaments for elite female golfers from around the world from February to November each year.
 
West, Lori was born on 19 April 1956 in Denver, Colo. Her height is 5 feet 6 inches. West, who did not start playing golf until 1978 at the age of 22, was the runner-up at the 1979 Colorado State Amateur. She played in four amateur events that season prior to turning professional.
 
In 1979, she turned professional and gained valuable experience by playing the Tampa Bay, Women Professional Golfers’ European Tour, WPGET and Women’s Florida mini-tours. In 1989, her best finish was a tie for eighth at the USX Golf Classic, where she fired her LPGA career-low round of 65 during the first round. In 1992, she posted her career-best finish at the Lady Keystone Open, where she tied for second. In 1993, best finish was a tie for 11th at the Youngstown-Warren LPGA Classic. She tied her career-low round of 65 during the second round of the SAFECO Classic, where she tied for 12th position.
 
In 1995, her best finish was a tie for 12th at the Star Bank LPGA Classic. In 1996, her top finishes were a tie for seventh at the Rochester International and tie for ninth at the Youngstown-Warren LPGA Classic. In 1999, she made the field at the State Farm Rail Classic as the seventh and final alternate and went on to tie for fourth, her best finish in seven years.
