Walton, Robin
Golf is an outdoor sport where player as an individual or from varied teams strike a ball targeting a hole using various clubs. The game basically originated from Scotland and has been played for atleast five centuries in the British Isles. LPGA, Ladies Professional Golf Association Tour is an American organization for female professional golfers. The organization, with headquarters in Daytona Beach, Florida runs a series of weekly golf tournaments for elite female golfers from around the world from February to November each year. The LPGA was founded in 1950 by a group of 13 women. LPGA Tour's events are held in the United States. Walton, Robin was born on 7th January 1956 in Boise, Idaho and her height is five feet eight inches. She captured the 1973 Oregon Junior title and the 1977 Pacific Northwest Amateur. As a freshman, she was a member of the Association of Intercollegiate Athletics for Women, AIAW National Championship team at Arizona State University. After transferring to the University of Washington, she earned All-America honors. In 1988, she tied her career-best finish with a second place at the Circle Korean LPGA Tucson Open, where she tied her career-low score of 64 during the second round. In 1989, she tied for eighth at the Jamaica Classic for her season-best finish. In 1990, she posted six top-20 finishes that included a season-best tie for fourth at the Jamie Farr Toledo Classic. In 1991, she twice placed fourth at the Atlantic City Classic and Inamori Classic. In 1992, she finished eighth at the McCall’s LPGA Classic at Stratton Mountain. In 1993, she finished seventh at the Standard Register PING. In 1994, she recorded three top-10 finishes, including a tie for second at the Chicago Challenge and in 1995, she finished 15th at the GHP Heartland Classic. In 1996, she finished sixth at the Twelve Bridges LPGA Classic. In 1998, she finished third at the Giant Eagle LPGA Classic, where she recorded her second career hole-in-one during the first round and tied her career-low round of 64 during the final round. The desire to use her talents for the Glory and Honor of her God and Country propelled her in an attempt to excel at the highest level of sporting achievement to inspire future generations of her countrymen to do the same upholding the highest standards of patriotic fervor.
