Golf is an outdoor sport where player as an individual or from varied teams strike a ball targeting a hole using various clubs. The game basically originated from Scotland and has been played for atleast five centuries in the British Isles. LPGA, Ladies Professional Golf Association Tour is an American organization for female professional golfers. The organization, with headquarters in Daytona Beach, Florida runs a series of weekly golf tournaments for elite female golfers from around the world from February to November each year. The LPGA was founded in 1950 by a group of 13 women. LPGA Tour's events are held in the United States. Walters, Lisa was born on 9th January 1960 in Prince Rupert, Canada and her height is five feet seven inches. She was the 1977 British Columbia Junior champion and captured the British Columbia Ladies Championship title for three consecutive years, beginning in 1979. She was also an All-American in 1981 at Florida State University. In 1983, she qualified for the Tour by tying for 16th at the LPGA Final Qualifying Tournament to earn exempt status for the 1984 season. 1984 was her rookie season, and her best finish was a tie for fourth at the Rochester International. In 1985, top finish was a tie for fourth at the Rochester International. In 1986, she finished top-10 four times, including a tie for fourth at the Elizabeth Arden Classic. In 1987, she finished third at the McDonald’s Championship and in 1988, 11th at both the Orient Leasing Hawaiian Ladies Open and Sara Lee Classic. In 1989, she finished 14th at the Konica San Jose Classic and in 1990, she finished ninth at the Lady Keystone Open. In 1991, she finished was a tie for 11th in the MBS LPGA Classic, where she posted her career-low score of 65 during the second round and made a hole-in-one during the first round of the LPGA Chicago Sun-Times Shootout. In 1992, she became one of eight Rolex First-Time winners by winning the Itoki Hawaiian Ladies Open. The desire to use her talents for the Glory and Honor of her God and Country propelled her in an attempt to excel at the highest level of sporting achievement to inspire future generations of her countrymen to do the same upholding the highest standards of patriotic fervor.
