LPGA stands for Ladies Professional Golf Association Tour. LPGA, in is an American organization for female professional golfers. The organization, with headquarters in Daytona Beach, Florida runs a series of weekly golf tournaments for elite female golfers from around the world from February to November each year. The LPGA was founded in 1950 by a group of 13 women. LPGA Tour's events are held in the United States.

Kate Rogerson was born on 19 July 1966 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Rogerson won the 1983 and 1984 Pennsylvania State Junior Championship. Also she was a finalist in the 1984 PGA Junior Championship and a quarter-finalist in the USGA, United States Golf Association Junior Girls Championship that same year. In 1986, Rogerson was a semi-finalist in the Western Women’s Amateur Championship. At the University of Kentucky, she won four titles and finished 5th in the 1986 NCAA, National Collegiate Athletic Association Championship. By virtue of that finish, Rogerson was able to represent the United States in the NCAA against Japan matches in 1986. Rogerson earned All-America honors in 1988.
 
The 1989 was her rookie season. She had three top-30 finishes in 1989. She posted her career-best finish at the 1990 Circle KLPGA, LPGA of Korea Tour Tucson Open where she tied for second. In 1990, she marked the best financial season of her career with $69,273 in winnings. Her top finish in 1991 was a tie for 6th in the Oldsmobile LPGA Classic. She posted her career-low round of 66 during the second round of the 1993 Jamie Farr Toledo Classic. She earned exempt status for the 1994 season after returning to the 1993 LPGA Final Qualifying Tournament. Kate Rogerson with all her dedication and commitment in her play has achieved many goals in her overall playing career.
