Golf is an outdoor sport where player as an individual or from varied teams strike a ball targeting a hole using various clubs. The game basically originated from Scotland and has been played for at least five centuries in the British Isles. The two basic forms of playing golf are match play and stroke play. LPGA stands for Ladies Professional Golf Association Tour, which is an American organization for female professional golfers headquartered in Daytona Beach, Florida.
 
Reilley Rankin, a LPGA golf player was born 17 April 1979, in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. Her height is 5 foot 7 inches. She started playing golf at the age of 5. Rankin qualified for the LPGA by finishing fifth on the 2003 Futures Tour season-ending money list. Rankin was a three-time AJGA, American Junior Golf Association Rolex All-American from 1995-1997. She was a three-time All-American at the University of Georgia. She won four consecutive collegiate tournaments in 1998, the same year she was a semifinalist at the Women’s Western Championship. In 1999, Rankin broke her sternum and after two years of rehabilitation, she helped lead the University of Georgia to the 2001 NCAA, National Collegiate Athletic Association Championship title.
 
In 2004, she posted a season-best finish at the LPGA Takefuji Classic, where she tied for eighth; recorded a career-low 65 during the second round of the Wendy’s Championship for Children. In 2003, she was finished fifth on the season-ending Futures Tour money list to earn exempt status for the 2004 LPGA Tour season. She won two Futures Tour titles, the Northwest Indiana FUTURES Golf Classic and the Betty Puskar FUTURES Golf Classic. In 2002, she joined the Futures Tour and posted a season-best finish of a tie for fifth. In 2001, she turned professional in July. She recorded a career-best fourth-place finish at the SBS Open at Turtle Bay, where she carded a season-low 66 in the second round. She tied for ninth at the Kraft Nabisco Championship and tied for 10th at the Mizuno Classic.

Reilley Rankin is a player known for her mental toughness owing to which many of her famous matches went the distance. Her superior approach and dedication to the game made her stood out from the crowd.
