LPGA stands for Ladies Professional Golf Association Tour. LPGA, in is an American organization for female professional golfers. The organization, with headquarters in Daytona Beach, Florida runs a series of weekly golf tournaments for elite female golfers from around the world from February to November each year. The LPGA was founded in 1950 by a group of 13 women. LPGA Tour's events are held in the United States. Barbara Moxness, a professional female golfer at the LPGA was born on 1st May, 1953 in Montevideo, Minnesotta. She is a 10 year member of the LPGA tour and played in a single event in 1987 with a record tie of 51 at the Nabisco Dinah shore. She began her LPGA career in 1978 and carded her career low round of 65 as a rookie at the patty berg classic. She showed consistent improvement for the first five years and recorded her most successful year in 1982, posting eight top-10 finishes including her career best bests of T2 at the lady Michelob and lady keystone opens. In 1999, Barbara’s best finish was 4th at the HEALTHSOUTH Inaugural and in 1998, her best finish was a tie for fourth at the Jamie Farr Kroger Classic. In 1997, she carded a career-low of 63 during the second round of the State Farm Rail Classic en route. In 1996, her season-best finish was a tie for 12th at the Welch’s Championship. In 1994, her top finish was sixth at the Weetabix Women’s British Open. In 1993, her top finish was sixth at the Lady Keystone Open. In 1992, her top finish was a tie for third at the Inamori Classic and in 1991, her best finish was a tie for third at the Big Apple Classic. The desire to use her talents for the Glory and Honor of her God and Country propelled her in an attempt to excel at the highest level of sporting achievement to inspire future generations of her countrymen to do the same upholding the highest standards of patriotic fervor.
