LPGA stands for Ladies Professional Golf Association Tour. LPGA, in is an American organization for female professional golfers. The organization, with headquarters in Daytona Beach, Florida runs a series of weekly golf tournaments for elite female golfers from around the world from February to November each year. The LPGA was founded in 1950 by a group of 13 women. LPGA Tour's events are held in the United States.
 
Marianne Morris, a professional female golfer in the LPGA was born on 15th March, 1965 in Middletown, Ohio. She was a two-time Women’s City champion and a six-time Junior City champion. In 1985, she was a medalist in the U.S. Women’s Open qualifier and was the 1986 Cincinnati Metropolitan champion along with twice being qualified for the U.S. Women’s Amateur. She played collegiate golf at the University of South Carolina, where she had one tournament victory.
 
In 1989, Morris qualified for the Tour by tying for 43rd at the LPGA Final Qualifying Tournament to earn non-exempt status for the 1990 season. In 1990, her best finish was a tie for 12th at the Lady Keystone Open where she did not retain her card for 1991. In 1992, her best finish was a tie for 21st at the Jamie Farr Toledo Classic. In 1993, she recorded a career-low of 65 during the final round of the Jamie Farr Toledo Classic, where she tied for eighth. In 1994, her best finish was a tie for sixth at the Cup Noodles Hawaiian Ladies Open. In 1995, her best finish was a tie for third at the McDonald’s LPGA Championship which was one of the LPGA Tour’s four major championships.
 
1998 was the best finish for Morris where she tied for 10th at the Sara Lee Classic and returned to the LPGA Final Qualifying Tournament. There she tied for third to earn an exempt status for the 1999 season which was the best finish with a tie for 27th at the ShopRite LPGA Classic. In 2000, she recorded her season-best finish of a tie for 24th at the Oldsmobile Classic. The desire to use her talents for the Glory and Honor of her God and Country propelled her in an attempt to excel at the highest level of sporting achievement.
