LPGA stands for Ladies Professional Golf Association Tour. LPGA, in is an American organization for female professional golfers. The organization, with headquarters in Daytona Beach, Florida runs a series of weekly golf tournaments for elite female golfers from around the world from February to November each year. The LPGA was founded in 1950 by a group of 13 women. LPGA Tour's events are held in the United States.
 
Joanne Morley, a professional female golfer in the LPGA was born on 30th December, 1966 in Sale, England. She was an English Junior International player in 1984 and was the 1991 English Stroke Play and the 1991 British Stroke Play champion. In 1992, Morley captured the European Stroke Play Championship title and became a member of the Great Britain and Ireland Curtis Cup Team. In 1993, she turned professional and started competing on the Women Professional Golfers’ European Tour, WPGET. In 1996, she won the German Open on the WPGET and competed on the European Solheim Cup Team.
 
Morley qualified for the Tour by tying for 15th at the LPGA Final Qualifying Tournament to earn exempt status for the 1997 season. In 1997, her top finish was a tie for fifth at the HEALTHSOUTH Inaugural. In 1998, her best finish was a tie for 24th, which she posted at the City of Hope Myrtle Beach Classic, Giant Eagle LPGA Classic and Weetabix Women’s British Open. In 1999, her season-best finish was a tie for seventh at the First Union Betsy King Classic. In 2002, Morley’s best finish was a tie for sixth at the First Union Betsy King Classic where she tied for 12th at the U.S. Women’s Open, her career-best finish in a major championship.
 
In 2003, Morley’s best finish was a tie for eighth at the ShopRite LPGA Classic where she tied her career low of 65 during the second round of the Welch’s Championship. In 2005, her best finish of the season was a tie for ninth at the ShopRite LPGA Classic, where she carded a season-low of 67. She also shot 67 during her second round of the Longs Drugs Challenge, where she tied for 27th. The desire to use her talents for the Glory and Honor of her God and Country propelled her in an attempt to excel at the highest level of sporting achievement.
