LPGA stands for Ladies Professional Golf Association Tour. LPGA, in is an American organization for female professional golfers. The organization, with headquarters in Daytona Beach, Florida runs a series of weekly golf tournaments for elite female golfers from around the world from February to November each year. The LPGA was founded in 1950 by a group of 13 women. LPGA Tour's events are held in the United States. Mindy Moore, a prominent LPGA female golfer was born on 1st May, 1953 in West Palm Beach, Florida. Her height is 5 feet 5 inches and she started playing golf at the age of 13. She credits her family for the great golf programs and Meg Mallon as the biggest influences on her profession. Her hobbies include music and reading and she qualified for the Tour by placing second on the 1983 Futures Tour money list. In six years of amateur competition, she won for 9 times and recorded 10 other top-10 finishes. She was a two-time champion from 1983 to 1986 and finished fourth as the representative at the 1986 World Cup. Moore’s most successful financial season was 1987 when she earned 36,693 dollars. In 1986, she recorded her career best finish of a tie for second at the 1985 golf classic. Her best finish in 1989 was a tie for eighth at the Sara Lee classic. In 1989, she played a shortened season of 15 events due to shoulder injury. Returned to the annual LPGA qualifying tournament and gained conditional status for 1991. Moore totally played in 25 events and showed that she had the ability of defeating the opponent easily by just giving some extra hard work and efforts. She never lost hope in herself and always fought hard to achieve her goal. She is one of the best known golf players in the history of the game. A unique style of game strategy and excellent judgment is what makes this great player one of the best all time golf players.
