LPGA stands for Ladies Professional Golf Association Tour. LPGA, in is an American organization for female professional golfers. The organization, with headquarters in Daytona Beach, Florida runs a series of weekly golf tournaments for elite female golfers from around the world from February to November each year. The LPGA was founded in 1950 by a group of 13 women. LPGA Tour's events are held in the United States.
 
Moodie, Janice, an LPGA player was born on 31st May 1973 in Glasgow, Scotland. Her height is five feet nine inches. Moodie captured the 1992 Scottish Ladies title and was a member of the Great Britain and Ireland Curtis Cup Teams in 1994 and 1996. She participated in the World Cup Team Championship from 1995 to 96. As a competitor on the San Jose State University golf team, she earned First-Team All-American honors from 1994 to 1997. She was the winner of 12 collegiate tournaments and posted the lowest scoring average on her team from 1996 to 1997.
 
In 2001, she tied for second at the Nabisco Championship to mark her best finish ever in a major championship and matched her career-low 65 during the final roun of the LPGA Corning Classic and paired with Lorie Kane to win the Hyundai Team Matches. In 2002, she won her second LPGA title at the Asahi Ryokuken International Championship at Mount Vintage, where she crossed the 2 million dollars mark in career earnings and successfully defended her Hyundai Team Matches title with teammate Lorie Kane. She recorded three additional top-10 finishes during the season, including a tie for eighth at the Nine Bridges Classic Presented by Sports Today, a tie for ninth at The Mitchell Company Tournament of Champions presented by Kathy Ireland Worldwide and a tie for 10th at the MasterCard Classic honoring Alejo Peralta.
 
Moodie with all her perseverance and superior approach towards the sport of golf achieved many aspirations in her overall professional career and became an international celebrity and a symbol of hope to millions.
