Golf is an outdoor sport where player as an individual or from varied teams strike a ball targeting a hole using various clubs. The game basically originated from Scotland and has been played for atleast five centuries in the British Isles. The two basic forms of playing golf are match play and stroke play. LPGA stands for Ladies Professional Golf Association Tour. LPGA, in is an American organization for female professional golfers. The organization, with headquarters in Daytona Beach, Florida runs a series of weekly golf tournaments for elite female golfers from around the world from February to November each year. The LPGA was founded in 1950 by a group of 13 women. LPGA Tour's events are held in the United States.
 
Miyazato, Ai, an LPGA player was born on 19th June 1985 in Okinawa, Japan. Miyazato’s amateur career was capped with a victory at the 2003 Miyagi Dunlop Ladies Golf Tournament. She also won the 2003 Japan Junior Golf Championship and the Japan Women’s Amateur Golf Championship. Her professional career highlights are in 2005, she won six events on the Japan LPGA, including the Japan Women’s Open Golf Championship and competed in six LPGA events and recorded her best finish at the Women’s World Match Play Championship. She tied for ninth after beating Laura Diaz and Juli Inkster and tied for 10th at the Mizuno Classic and tied for 11th at the Weetabix Women’s British Open.
 
Miyazato won the LPGA final qualifying tournament presented by American Airlines by a record 12 shots to earn her exempt card for the 2006 LPGA Tour season. In 2004, she won five events on the JLPGA, Japan Ladies Professional Golf Association and played in two LPGA events, tying for second at the Mizuno Classic. In 2003, she turned professional in October and competed on the JLPGA.
 
Miyazato, Ai with all her perseverance and superior approach towards the sport of golf, achieved many aspirations in her overall professional career and became an international celebrity and a symbol of hope to millions.
