LPGA stands for Ladies Professional Golf Association Tour. LPGA, in is an American organization for female professional golfers. The organization, with headquarters in Daytona Beach, Florida runs a series of weekly golf tournaments for elite female golfers from around the world from February to November each year. The LPGA was founded in 1950 by a group of 13 women. LPGA Tour's events are held in the United States.
 
Lu, Teresa was born on 13th October 1987 in Taipei, Taiwan. With a height of five feet four inch, Lu was the low amateur at the 2005 Taiwan LPGA Open, tying for fifth position. She finished 10th at the 2005 Kosaido Taiwan Japan Friendship Tournament. Lu advanced to the quarterfinals of the U.S. Girls’ Junior Championship in 2003 and 2005 and advanced to the semifinals in 2004. Lu also played one year on the American Junior Golf Association, the AJGA, circuit and was named a 2005 First-Team Rolex Junior All-American. She finished second at the 2005 AJGA Rolex Girls Junior Championship to fellow rookie Morgan Pressel and was a member of the winning 2005 AJGA West Canon Cup Team.
 
In 2005, she turned professional in November and tied for 22nd position at the LPGA Final Qualifying Tournament presented by American Airlines but lost in a three-hole, seven-way playoff for one of the three final exempt cards and earned non-exempt status for the 2006 LPGA Tour season.
 
With all her dedication and devotion in her play, Lu achieved many goals in her overall professional golf career. She had the ability of reaching the pinnacle easily by just giving some extra hard work and efforts. She never lost hope in herself and always fought hard to achieve her goal.
