LPGA stands for Ladies Professional Golf Association Tour. LPGA, in is an American organization for female professional golfers. The organization, with headquarters in Daytona Beach, Florida runs a series of weekly golf tournaments for elite female golfers from around the world from February to November each year. The LPGA was founded in 1950 by a group of 13 women. LPGA Tour's events are held in the United States.
 
Lovander, Marilyn was born on 9th February 1955 in Wilmar, Minnesota. With a height of five feet six inch, Lovander won the 1981-82 Minnesota Public Links Championships. In addition, she also competed as an amateur in the 1982 U.S. Women’s Open.
 
In 2000, she tied for 10th position at the State Farm Rail Classic, which was her season best. In 2001, her best finish was a tie for 27th at the Sybase Big Apple Classic Presented by Golf Magazine. In 2002, her best finish was a tie for 22nd at the Williams Championship. She returned to the LPGA Final Qualifying Tournament, where she shot 64-69-70-70 to win and earn exempt status, and posted the best 72-hole total of any final LPGA qualifying event. In 2003, her best finish was a tie for 12th at the Sybase Big Apple Classic presented by Lincoln Mercury. She won the Hy-Vee Classic on the Women’s Senior Golf Tour, the WSGT. In 2004, she posted a career-best finish at the Wendy’s Championship for Children, where she tied for sixth. In 2005 she recorded a season-best finish at the Jamie Farr Owens Corning Classic presented by Kroger, where she placed 10th. She tied her career-low 66 in the first round of the Longs Drugs Challenge, where she tied for 27th position.
 
With all her dedication and devotion in her play, Lovander achieved many goals in her overall professional golf career. She had the ability of reaching the pinnacle easily by just giving some extra hard work and efforts. She never lost hope in herself and always fought hard to achieve her goal.
