Golf is an outdoor sport where player as an individual or from varied teams strike a ball targeting a hole using various clubs. LPGA stands for Ladies Professional Golf Association Tour. LPGA, in is an American organization for female professional golfers. The organization, with headquarters in Daytona Beach, Florida runs a series of weekly golf tournaments for elite female golfers from around the world from February to November each year. The LPGA was founded in 1950 by a group of 13 women. LPGA Tour's events are held in the United States.
 
Yu Ping Lin was born on 4 June 1979 in Miaoli, Taiwan. Her height is 5 foot 6 inches. Lin represented her country in the 1998 World Cup competition, where she finished seventh. Also in 1998, she placed third at the Asian Games. In 1999, she competed on the SBC Futures Tour and qualified for the LPGA Tour by tying for fourth at the LPGA Final Qualifying Tournament to gain exempt status for the 2000 season.
 
In 2000, she recorded her season-best finish at the Cup Noodles Hawaiian Ladies Open, where she tied for 17th. In 2001, she recorded a career best tie for third at the Standard Register PING. In 2002, she posted four top-20 finishes, including a season-best tie for 10th at the Wendy’s Championship for Children at Tartan Fields. In 2003, her best finish was a tie for 11th at the Welch’s Fry’s Championship, where she carded career-low 64s in the second and third rounds and notched her first LPGA career hole in one during the third round of the Welch’s Fry’s Championship.
 
In 2004, her best finish of the season was a tie for seventh at the Kellogg-Keebler Classic. In 2005, her best finish of the season was a tie for 22nd at the Wegmans Rochester LPGA and carded a season-low 67 in the second round of the Corona Morelia Championship.
