Golf is an outdoor sport where player as an individual or from varied teams strike a ball targeting a hole using various clubs. The game basically originated from Scotland and has been played for at least five centuries in the British Isles. The two basic forms of playing golf are match play and stroke play. LPGA stands for Ladies Professional Golf Association Tour, which is an American organization for female professional golfers headquartered in Daytona Beach, Florida. Guadagnino, Kathy LPGA player was born 20 March 1961, in Albany, New York. Her height is five foot nine inches. She played under her maiden name of Baker from 1983-87. She enjoys crafts, reading and adding to her various bear collections, spends much of the off-season helping her husband with church-related activities. A member of the 1982 United States Curtis Cup and World Cup teams, Guadagnino won the 1982 NCAA, National Collegiate Athletic Association title and was a two-time NCAA All- American. She was the Eastern Amateur champion in 1979 and 1982, the Western Amateur champion in 1980 and the 1979 National PGA, Professional Golfers Association Junior champion. In 1997, she tied for eighth at the Giant Eagle LPGA Classic for her best finish of the season. In 1995, her best finish was a tie for 26th at the McDonald’s LPGA Championship, one of the LPGA’s major championships. In 1994, she was posted a career-low score of 66 during the first round of the McCall’s LPGA Classic at Stratton Mountain. In 1993, her best performance was a tie for eighth at the du Maurier Ltd. Classic, one of the LPGA Tour’s four major championships. In 1992, she competed in just 16 events due to the birth of her second child. In 1990, she played a limited schedule of 11 events due to the birth of her first child. In 1988, her second career victory was at the Konica San Jose Classic. In 1985, she recorded her first career victory was at the United States Women’s Open. She is one of only 13 players to make the Open her first career victory as an LPGA member.
She is a player known for her mental toughness owing to which many of her famous matches went the distance. Her superior approach and dedication to the game made her stand out from the crowd.
