Golf is an outdoor sport where player as an individual or from varied teams strike a ball targeting a hole using various clubs. The game basically originated from Scotland and has been played for at least five centuries in the British Isles. The two basic forms of playing golf are match play and stroke play. LPGA, Ladies Professional Golf Association Tour, is an American organization for female professional golfers headquartered in Daytona Beach, Florida. Gleason, Jennifer was born on 28th September 1980, in Clearwater, Florida. Her height is 5 foot 4 inches and she started playing golf at the age of 15. She was qualified for the Tour on her first attempt. She won three collegiate events while at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and was a four-time All-Southern Conference team selection and a 2003 Academic All-American. She also played in the 1999 and 2003 U.S. Women’s Amateur Championship and the 2003 U.S. Women’s Amateur Public Links Championship. In 2004, she played on the Futures Tour, where her best finish was a tie for sixth at the Tampa Bay’s Next Generation Futures Golf Classic and tied for 42nd at the LPGA Final Qualifying Tournament presented by American Airlines to earn non-exempt status for the 2005 season. In 2003, she turned professional and joined the Next Generation Women’s Tour and won four out of seven events. In 2005, she won back-to-back titles on the Futures Tour at the Lima Memorial Hospital Futures Classic with all three rounds in the 60s and Michelob Ultra Futures Charity Golf Classic in a sudden-death playoff. She also finished sixth on the Futures Tour money list and tied for first in the overall statistical category for the year, winning the Ostop Award. She returned to the LPGA Final Qualifying Tournament presented by American Airlines, where she tied for 29th to retain non-exempt status for the 2006 season. The desire to use her talents for the Glory and Honor of her God and Country propelled her in an attempt to excel at the highest level of sporting achievement to inspire future generations of her countrymen to do the same upholding the highest standards of patriotic fervor.
