Ladies Professional Golf Association Tour, LPGA is an American organization for female professional golfers. The organization, with headquarters in Daytona Beach, Florida runs a series of weekly golf tournaments for elite female golfers from around the world from February to November each year. The LPGA was founded in 1950 by a group of 13 women. LPGA Tour's events are held in the United States. Dorothy Delasin is a professional LPGA golfer. She joined LPGA in 2000 and played 21 tournaments. She was born on August 26th, 1980 in Lubbock, Texas. Her height is 5 foot 6 inches. Her playoff record was 2 to 0 and started playing golf at the age of 8. She was honored in 2004 by the Philippine Sportswriters Association for her outstanding achievements on the LPGA Tour in 2003. In 1999, she tied for fourth at the LPGA Final Qualifying Tournament to earn exempt status for the 2000 season. In 2000, she defeated Pat Hurst on the second hole of a sudden-death playoff to win the Giant Eagle LPGA Classic and become the youngest player to win an LPGA event since Amy Alcott won the 1975 Orange Blossom Classic. In 2002, she finished third at the Giant Eagle LPGA Classic. In 2003, she won her fourth career title at the Mobile LPGA Tournament of Champions. In 2004, she was fifth place at the Franklin American Mortgage Championship benefiting Vanderbilt. In 2005, she finished fifth at the Corona Morelia Championship. She posted three additional top-10 finishes. Her LPGA Victories include Giant Eagle LPGA Classic in 2000 and 2001 and Mobile LPGA Tournament of Champions in 2003. In 2000 she won Louise Suggs Rolex Rookie of the Year LPGA Award. She was the 1997 SEA Games Gold Medal winner and 1998 Junior World champion. She ended her amateur career with a victory at the 1999 U.S. Women’s Amateur Championship. Dorothy Delasin with all her dedication and devotion in her play achieved many goals in her overall athletic career. She had the ability of defeating the opponent easily by just giving some extra hard work and efforts. She never lost hope in herself and always fought hard to achieve her goal. She is still remembered as one of the best athletes in the history of golf.
