D'Alessio, Diana
LPGA Tour, Ladies Professional Golf Association, is an American organization for female professional golfers. The organization, with headquarters in Daytona Beach, Florida runs a series of weekly golf tournaments for elite female golfers from around the world from February to November each year. The LPGA was founded in 1950 by a group of 13 women. LPGA Tour's events are held in the United States. Diana was born on November18, 1974 in Dover, New Jersey in Little River, South Carolina. Her rookie year was 2000 and her career-best finish was T3 and her career earnings and ranking was 424,225 dollars and 229 respectively. As a student she was graduated in Furman University in 1997 in History. She recorded the best finish of her career with a tie for third at the John Q. Hammons Hotel Classic, where she qualified for the event and she also qualified for the State Farm Classic, where she tied her career-low 66 during the third round and tied for 15th. In 2003, she finished 16th at the BMO Financial Group Canadian Women’s Open and tied her career-low 66 during the second rounds of the Welch’s and Fry’s Championship and ShopRite LPGA Classic. In 2002, she recorded her season-best finish at the Sybase Big Apple Classic Presented by Golf Magazine, where she tied for sixth and posted a career-low 66 in the third round. In 2001, recorded her best finish of the season at the Michelob Light Classic, where she tied for seventh. In 2000, she was placed fourth at the du Maurier Classic and tied for fourth at the Cup Noodles Hawaiian Ladies Open. In 1999, she competed on the SBC Futures Tour, where she accumulated three top-five finishes. She was named the Women’s Metropolitan Golf Association, WMGA Player of the Year from 1995 to 96. While at Furman University, she was named the 1997 Most Valuable Player, MVP for the women’s golf team and earned 1997 Southern Conference champion honors recording seven top-10 finishes. Diana D’Alessio with all her dedication and devotion in her play achieved many goals in her overall athletic career. She had the ability of defeating the opponent easily by just giving some extra hard work and efforts. She never lost hope in herself and always fought hard to achieve her goal. She is still remembered as one of the best athletes in the history of golf.
