The organization, with headquarters in Daytona Beach, Florida runs a series of weekly golf tournaments for elite female golfers from around the world from February to November each year. The LPGA was founded in 1950 by a group of 13 women. LPGA Tour's events are held in the United States.
 
Mary Lou Crocker was born on September 17, 1944 in Lousiveille, Kentucky. She turned professional in 1966. Her career earnings are $99,666. In 1961, Mary Lou was runner-up in the Women’s Western Junior, and she won in the Women’s Western Junior and she won the title the following year. Also she won the USGA, United States Golf Association Junior Girls Championship in 1962 and was named Kentucky Female Amateur Athlete of the Year.
 
Mary Lou had numerous high finishes in her first few seasons on Tour but she lacked the consistency and wanted to become a big money winner. But she broke through into the victory column in 1973 when she won the Marc Equity Classic in Buffalo, New York, and has been a regular contender ever since. She was the first woman ever to attend the University of Kentucky on a men’s athletic scholarship. Mary Lou Crocker, with all her commitment and devotion in her play has achieved many goals in her overall playing career. She was a legendry golf player known for an exceptional play during her time.
