LPGA stands for Ladies Professional Golf Association Tour. LPGA, in is an American organization for female professional golfers. The organization, with headquarters in Daytona Beach, Florida runs a series of weekly golf tournaments for elite female golfers from around the world from February to November each year. The LPGA was founded in 1950 by a group of 13 women. LPGA Tour's events are held in the United States.

Cornelius Kathy was born on 27 October 1932 in Boston, Massachusetts. Her career earnings are $227,537 and lowest career round is 65. In her 7 Tour victories includes 1956 U.S Open. Kathy won the Southern Amateur Championship in 1952 and was medalist in the Florida Intercollegiate in 1953. She was also runner-up in that event in both 1951 and 1953.

Although Kathy turned professional in 1953 just after her marriage, she did not join the Tour until three years later. She won two events in her first full year, 1956, including the U.S. Open and has added five more titles since. Her best season was 1973 as she won more than $40,000 and finished eighth on the final money list. She won over $14,000 in 1980, her best since 1977, with her best finish a share of eighth in the first event of the year, the Whirlpool Championship of Deer Creek. Her superior approach and dedication to the game made her stand out from the crowd. She was a legendry golf player known for an outstanding play during her time.
