Golf is an outdoor sport where player as an individual or from varied teams strike a ball targeting a hole using various clubs. The game basically originated from Scotland and has been played for atleast five centuries in the British Isles. The two basic forms of playing golf are match play and stroke play.
 
LPGA stands for Ladies Professional Golf Association Tour. LPGA, in is an American organization for female professional golfers. The organization, with headquarters in Daytona Beach, Florida runs a series of weekly golf tournaments for elite female golfers from around the world from February to November each year. The LPGA was founded in 1950 by a group of 13 women. LPGA Tour's events are held in the United States.
 
Coles Janet was born on 4 August 1954 in Carmel, California. She joined LPGA in February, 1977. Her career earnings, rank are $625,049 and 41 respectively. Coles captured the Northern California Junior Championship from 1968 through 1971 after completing in the USGA, United States Golf Association Girls Junior at the age of 13. At the age of 17, she was medalist in the North-South Amateur. She was an outstanding collegiate player at UCLA, University of California at Los Angeles winning the first she participated in by 14 shots.
 
She announced her semi-retirement in 1989 and played a limited schedule of 11 events. Her best finish was a tie for sixth in the Nabisco Dinah Shore. She worked with the LPGA junior golf program throughout the summer of 1989, teaching golf to underpriviieged and minority children in the southern California area who otherwise would not have a chance to learn the game.
 
In 1990, she played in only six events after she semi-retired from the LPGA Tour. Her best finish was a tie for 11th at the Standard Register Turquoise Classic. She earned $15,941. In her career, she joined the Tour in 1977. She is a two-time LPGA winner, the 1978 Lady Tara Classic and the 1983 Lady Michelob. She was a legendry golf player known for an outstanding play during her time.
