Golf is an outdoor sport where player as an individual or from varied teams strike a ball targeting a hole using various clubs. The game basically originated from Scotland and has been played for atleast five centuries in the British Isles.The two basic forms of playing golf are match play and stroke play. LPGA stands for Ladies Professional Golf Association Tour. LPGA, in is an American organization for female professional golfers. The organization, with headquarters in Daytona Beach, Florida runs a series of weekly golf tournaments for elite female golfers from around the world from February to November each year. The LPGA was founded in 1950 by a group of 13 women. LPGA Tour's events are held in the United States. Coakley Rebecca was born on 25 April 1981 in Adelaide, Australia. Her rookie year is 2006. She started playing golf at the age of 13. She qualified for the Tour on her first attempt. In 2005, she played on the Robe di Kappa Ladies European Tour, where she recorded four top-10 finishes, including a fifth-place finish at the Wales Ladies Championship. Also she competed on the ALPG, Australian Ladies Professional Golf Tour and tied for 54th at the LPGA Final Qualifying Tournament presented by American Airlines to earn non-exempt status for the 2006 LPGA Tour season.
In 2004, she played on the ALPG Tour, where she finished runner-up at the Sapphire Coast Ladies Classic. In 2003, she competed on the ALPG Tour, where she finished sixth at the AAMI Women’s Australian Open and named Horizons ALPG Rookie of the Year. In 2002, she turned professional in December. Coakley won the South Australian Amateur and Stroke Play competition in 2000. She finished second at the Australian Stroke Play Championship in 2001. In 2002, Coakley won the Irish Amateur Championship and the Irish Stroke Play Championship. Her superior approach and dedication to the game made her stand out from the crowd.
