The game basically originated from Scotland and has been played for atleast five centuries in the British Isles.The two basic forms of playing golf are match play and stroke play.




 


LPGA stands for Ladies Professional Golf Association Tour. LPGA, in is an American organization for female professional golfers. The organization, with headquarters in Daytona Beach, Florida runs a series of weekly golf tournaments for elite female golfers from around the world from February to November each year. The LPGA was founded in 1950 by a group of 13 women. LPGA Tour's events are held in the United States.



 


Choi-Rogers, Kathy was born on 2 May 1974 in Seoul, South Korea. Her rookie year was 2005, and status non-exempt. She started playing golf at the age of 11. She completed her education from University of California, Los Angeles. In 1997, she turned professional in June. From 1997 to 99, she played on the Players West Tour, where she won four times. In 2002, she played on the West Coast Ladies Golf Tour, where she recorded one win.



 


In 2003, she joined the Futures Tour, where her best finish was a tie for third at the York Newspaper Company Futures Classic. In 2004, she played 14 events on the Futures Tour, where her best finish was a tie for fifth at the M& T Bank Loretto Futures Golf Classic, tied for 55th at the LPGA Final Qualifying Tournament Presented by American Airlines to earn non-exempt status for the 2005 LPGA Tour season. In 2005, she played a limited schedule due to complications from rheumatoid arthritis.


Choi-Rogers finished 3rd individually at the 1996 NCAA, National Collegiate Athletic Association Women’s Championship while at the University of California, Los Angeles. Also in 1996, she was an All-Pac-10 First-Team selection and NCAA All-American Second-Team selection. She qualified for the Tour on her fourth attempt.Her superior approach and dedication to the game made her stand out from the crowd.
