Choi, Hye
Golf is an outdoor sport where player as an individual or from varied teams strike a ball targeting a hole using various clubs. LPGA stands for Ladies Professional Golf Association Tour. LPGA, in is an American organization for female professional golfers. The organization, with headquarters in Daytona Beach, Florida runs a series of weekly golf tournaments for elite female golfers from around the world from February to November each year. The LPGA was founded in 1950 by a group of 13 women. LPGA Tour's events are held in the United States. Choi Hye was born on 24 December 1984 in Seoul, South Korea. Her rookie year is 2006 and her status is Non-exempt. She completed her education from Chung Ang University. In 2002, she turned professional in September. In 2004, she competed on the Korea LPGA. In 2005, she played on the Futures Tour, where she recorded four top-10 finishes, including runner-up finishes at the Ios Futures Golf Classic and the Northwest Indiana Futures Golf Classic and tied for 54th at the LPGA Final Qualifying Tournament presented by American Airlines to earn non-exempt status for the 2006 LPGA Tour season.
Choi was the Korea Junior Champion in 1999 and was the Asia Junior Champion in 2000. Also she won the Hyundai Ladies Open in 2000 and started playing golf at the age of 14. She qualified for the Tour on her second attempt. Choi Hye is a player known for her mental toughness owing to which many of her famous matches went the distance. Her superior approach and dedication to the game made her stand out from the crowd.
