Golf is an outdoor sport where player as an individual or from varied teams strike a ball targeting a hole using various clubs. LPGA stands for Ladies Professional Golf Association Tour. LPGA, in is an American organization for female professional golfers. The organization, with headquarters in Daytona Beach, Florida runs a series of weekly golf tournaments for elite female golfers from around the world from February to November each year. The LPGA was founded in 1950 by a group of 13 women. LPGA Tour's events are held in the United States.
Childs Clarissa was born on 23 March 1974 in Van Nuys, California. Her height is 5 foot 5 inches. She resides in Columbia, South Carolina and rookie year was 2002. She started playing golf at the age of 7. Childs participated in the 1996 Goodwill Games, where she placed 10th and was a quarterfinalist at the Women’s Western Amateur Championship. During her collegiate career, Childs recorded seven top-five finishes, including third place at the 1995 SEC, Southeastern Conference Championship and was a two-time All-SEC First-Team selection from 1994-95.
In 1996, she turned professional. From 1997 to 2001, she competed on the SBC Futures Tour and recorded 10 top-10 finishes and recorded a hole in one at the 1998 U.S. Women’s Open. In 2001, she tied for 31st at the LPGA Final Qualifying Tournament to earn non-exempt status for the 2002 season. In 2002, she returned to the LPGA Final Qualifying Tournament and tied for 51st to earn non-exempt status for the 2003 season.
In 2003, she competed in six events on the Futures Tour and posted two top-10 finishes and returned to the LPGA Final Qualifying Tournament, where she tied for fifth to earn exempt status for the 2004 season. In 2004, she carded a career-low 67 during the final round of the Longs Drugs Challenge and returned to the LPGA Final Qualifying Tournament presented by American Airlines, where she tied for 62nd to earn non-exempt status for the 2005 season. In 2005, she returned to the LPGA Final Qualifying Tournament Presented by American Airlines, where she tied for 22nd but lost in a three-hole, seven-way playoff for the final three exempt cards to retain non-exempt status for the 2006 season. Her superior approach and dedication to the game made her stand out from the crowd.
