Zoltan Varga was born on January 1, 1945. He was a Hungarian football player in the 1960s and 1970s and was an Olympic gold medallist at the 1964 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. He played for Ferencvaros when they won the Inter-Cities Fairs Cup in 1965, beating Juventus 1-0 in the final. He also played for Ajax Amsterdam. He played in Germany for Borussia Dortmund and Hertha Berlin, but was banned after he was caught taking bribes to lose matches. During the period of his ban he played for Aberdeen F.C. in Scotland.
 
The desire to use his talents for the Glory and Honor of his God and Country propelled him in an attempt to excel at the highest level of sporting achievement to inspire future generations of his countrymen to do the same upholding the highest standards of patriotic fervor.
