Kim Soo-Nyung
The Olympic Games, or Olympics, is an international multi-sport event taking place every four years which comprises of summer and winter games. Though the first ancient games were held in 776 B.C, the modern games started from 1896. The unity of the 5 continents is shown on the Olympic flag by five colorful intertwined rings of red, blue, green, yellow, and black, created by Baron Pierre de Coubertin to represent at least one color of the participating country’s national flag.
Kim Soo-nyung was born on April 5, 1971, Seoul. She was a member of the South Korean Olympic archery team in 1988, 1992, and 2000. She had received a total of four gold medals. She also won world championships in 1989 and 1991. After the 1992 Summer Olympics, in which she received a silver medal, she retired to marry and raise two children, resuming her training in 1999.
Kim Soo was a player known for her mental toughness owing to which many of her famous matches went the distance. Her superior approach and dedication to the game made her stand out from the crowd.
