Aleksandr Nikolayevich Maltsev was born on April 20, 1949 and is a retired Soviet ice hockey player. He was a right winger. He played with Dynamo Moscow in the Soviet League for 530 games from 1967 to 1984. He was on the USSR, Union of Soviet Socialist Republics team during the 1972 Winter Olympics, 1976 Winter Olympics, and 1980 Winter Olympics, winning gold in 1972 and 1976 and silver in 1980.
 
Aleksandr Maltsev, with all his commitment and devotion in his play has achieved many goals in his overall playing career. He had the ability of defeating the opponent easily by giving some extra hard work and efforts.
