Tom Watson was born on 4 September 1949 in Kansas City, Missouri. His height is five foot nine inches and weight is 175 pounds. He turned professional in 1971. In 2001 he won his first Champions Tour major title at the Senior Professional Golfers' Association, PGA Championship in New Jersey. In 2000 he saved his best for the last official event of the season, claiming the IR Senior Tour Championship in Myrtle Beach. His Champions Tour victories include Bank One Championship in 1999, IR Senior Tour Championship in 2000, Senior PGA Championship in 2001, and Senior Tour Championship at Gaillardia in 2002, Senior British Open in 2003, Senior British Open Championship in 2005, and Charles Schwab Cup Championship. 
 
At the Boeing Championship at Sandestin he finished T3 which was his top performance of the season. 64 was the low finish ever by a winner of the tournament and his first place check for 440,000 dollars equaled the largest of his career.
 
Tom Watson is one of the best known golf players in the history of the game. A unique style of game strategy and excellent judgment is what makes this great player one of the best all time golf players. Sheer determination, concentration and self confidence has helped him through out his professional career of playing golf to achieve what other players can only imagine of.
