Golf is an outdoor sport where player as an individual or from varied teams strike a ball targeting a hole using various clubs. The game basically originated from Scotland and has been played for atleast five centuries in the British Isles. The two basic forms of playing golf are match play and stroke play. The Tour Championship is the final event of golf's PGA Tour season. The top 30 money winners on the PGA Tour after the penultimate event qualify for the Championship, which is one of the richest tournaments on the tour.
Amos Tom Wargo was born on September 16, 1942 in Marlette. He is an American professional golfer, best known for winning the 1993 Professional Golfers' Association, PGA Seniors' Championship which is one of the major championships on the men's Senior PGA Tour. In 1992 initially he earned a conditional exemption with a 10
th
place finish at the Champions Tour National Qualifying Tournament. He shot rounds of 69-66-77-74-286 and then made birdie on the first playoff hole to earn his position. In 1995 he easily won the Dallas Reunion Pro Am with the first of only two wire to wire performances on the circuit that year. His 54 hole score of 13 under 197 was seven shots better than Dave Stockton and Dave Eichelberger.
His Champions Tour victories include PGA Seniors' Championship in 1993, Doug Sanders Celebrity Classic in 1994, and Dallas Reunion Pro-Am in 1995. His International Victory is 1994 Senior British Open.
