John Jacobs was born on March 18, 1945, in Los Angeles, California. His height is 6 feet 3 inches with a weight of 225 pounds. He became professional in the year 1967. His full name is John Alexander Jacobs. His Champions Tour victories include the 1998 Nationwide Championship, the 1999 MasterCard Championship, the 2000 Bruno’s Memorial Classic, the 2002 Royal Caribbean Classic and the 2003 Senior PGA Championship. His international victories include the 1995 Senior Series Gulfport Open. He has earned a fully exempt status by finishing T2 at the 1995 Champions Tour National Qualifying Tournament. He has made his debut on the Champions Tour in 1995, shortly after turning 50 and Monday-qualified for three events. In 1997, he nearly posted his first Champions Tour victory at the Southwestern Bell Dominion. In 2003, he has claimed the biggest prize of his career in early June near Philadelphia. He has defeated Bobby Wadkins with birdies on the 15th and 16th holes to win the Senior PGA Championship at Aronimink Golf Club by two strokes. He has played the majority of his last round during the rare finish and four 2s on the scorecard were for the first time in the tournament history. He has won his first-ever Georgia-Pacific Grand Champions event at the Constellation Energy Classic, defeating Mike McCullough, Bob Murphy and Jim Colbert by two strokes.
