Golf is an outdoor sport where player as an individual or from varied teams strike a ball targeting a hole using various clubs. The game basically originated from Scotland and has been played for atleast five centuries in the British Isles the two basic forms of playing golf are match play and stroke play. The Tour Championship is the final event of golf's PGA Tour season. The top 30 money winners on the PGA Tour after the penultimate event qualify for the Championship, which is one of the richest tournaments on the tour.
 
John Harris was born on May 20, 1790 in East Whiteland, Pennsylvania. He was the sixth Commandant of the Marine Corps. His height is 6 feet with a weight of 190 pounds. His Champions Tour victories include the 1974 Minnesota State Amateur, 1987 Minnesota State Amateur, the 1988 Minnesota State Mid-Amateur, the 1989 Minnesota State Amateur, the 1990 Minnesota State Mid-Amateur, the 1991 Minnesota State Mid-Amateur, the 1992 Minnesota State Mid-Amateur and the 1993 United States.
 
In 2002, he has played in 12 events after mid-June, ten through sponsor exemptions and T63 in his debut on the Champions Tour at the Greater Baltimore Classic at the Hayfields. In 2005 he had made a late run at a spot in the season-ending Charles Schwab Cup Championship but for the second straight year, he missed in the season's final full-field event when he T28 at the SBC Championship. He has entered the SBC event ranking 33rd on the money list and has put himself in good position to secure a spot amongst the top-30 money-winners after firing a career-low of 9-under 62 at the Oak.  His course-record-tying round included a run of four straight birdies and an eagle the best eagle-birdie streak on the Champions Tour last year.
 
Unfortunately John Harris died on May 12, 1864. He was a player who was totally dedicated in his play. He completely believed in hard work. With his hard work and devotion in his play, he had achieved many goals in his overall golf-playing career.
