The Tour Championship is the final event of golf's PGA Tour season. The top 30 money winners on the PGA Tour after the penultimate event qualify for the Championship, which is one of the richest tournaments on the tour. Jim Colbert was born on March 9, 1971 in Elizabeth, New Jersey. He is an American golfer. He finished second in the NCAA, National Collegiate Athletic Association golf championships before graduating and turning professional. He started his year by qualifying for the Sony Open in Hawaii but missed the cut in his first PGA Tour appearance since the 2000 U.S. Open after shooting rounds of 79-78 at Waialae. Colbert joined the ranks of the Georgia-Pacific Grand Champions in September and earned 31,416 dollars in four starts in 2001. In 2002, Colbert captured the Emerald Coast Classic when the final round of the event was canceled by a heavy thunderstorm. Colbert’s International Victories include the 1995 Diners Club Matches with Bob Murphy, 1996 Diners Club Matches with Bob Murphy, 1998 Lexus Challenge with Kevin Costner, 2000 Liberty Mutual Legends of Golf with Andy North and the 2001 Liberty Mutual Legends of Golf with Andy North. Jim Colbert, with all his dedication and devotion in his play achieved many goals in his overall athletic career. He had the ability of defeating the opponent easily by just giving some extra hard work and efforts. He never lost hope in himself and always fought hard to achieve his goal. He is still remembered as one of the best athletes in the history of golf.
