Jim Albus was born on June 18, 1940 in Staten Island, New York. He Turned Pro in 1968. He surprised the golf world by winning the 1991 Mazda Presents THE SENIOR PLAYERS Championship at Michigan in only his sixth Champions Tour start. Albus’ PGA TOUR victories are in 1984 Buick Open, NEC World Series of Golf, Panasonic Las Vegas Invitational. His other victories are in 1975 World Amateur Team Championship with George Harvey. Best PGA TOUR Finishes 1st in 1984 Buick Open, NEC World Series of Golf, Panasonic Las Vegas Invitational.
 
Albus’ Champions other Tour Victories are the 1993 GTE Suncoast Classic. 1994 Vantage At The Dominion, Bank of Boston Senior Classic. 1995 SBC Presents The Dominion Seniors. 1998 GTE Classic. And his International Victories are the 2001 Georgia-Pacific Super Seniors Match-Play Championship. He finished T5 at the Turtle Bay Championship in late January because of three sub par rounds. Finally he was placed fourth on the final Georgia Pacific Grand Champions money list, with 79,000 dollars.
 
Jim Albus, with all his dedication and devotion in his play achieved many goals in his overall athletic career. He had the ability of defeating the opponent easily by just giving some extra hard work and efforts. He never lost hope in himself and always fought hard to achieve his goal. He is still remembered as one of the best athletes in the history of golf.
