Golf is an outdoor sport where player as an individual or from varied teams strike a ball targeting a hole using various clubs. The game basically originated from Scotland and has been played for atleast five centuries in the British Isles. The two basic forms of playing golf are match play and stroke play. The Tour Championship is the final event of golf's PGA Tour season. The top 30 money winners on the PGA Tour after the penultimate event qualify for the Championship, which is one of the richest tournaments on the tour.
 
J.C. SNEAD was born on October 14, 1940 in Hot Springs. He turned Professional in 1964 and joined PGA, Professional Golf’s Association  Tour in 1968. His victories included the Kaiser International in 1976, 1998 T2 at the Northville Long Island Classic along with Walter Hall, one stroke short of Gary Player. He recorded a hole-in-one in the final round of The Home Depot Invitational. His Lone victory in the Georgia-Pacific Grand Champions competition came at the Novell Utah Showdown, a two-stroke win over Walter Morgan.
 
In 2002 he ended nearly a seven-year victory drought, when he prevailed by one stroke at the Greater Baltimore Classic. He set a Hayfields Club course record in the second round with his 8-under-par 64. He finished fifth on the final Georgia-Pacific Grand Champions money list, with $153,791 and won the Georgia-Pacific title, defeating Isao Aoki in a one-hole playoff. His Best effort was a T20 at the Toshiba Senior Classic. He finished 15th on the Georgia-Pacific Grand Champions money list, with $39,425. Tying it up in his 1,000th PGA TOUR Champions Tour combined event at the Senior PGA Championship, he became just the seventh player to reach that milestone. He missed the cut at Laurel Valley after posting rounds of 77-79.
 
His Champions Tour Victories in 1993 include Vantage at The Dominion,  1995  Royal Caribbean Classic,  Ford Senior Players Championship,  2002  Greater Baltimore Classic, and PGA TOUR Victories such as 1976  Andy Williams-San Diego Open Invitational,  Kaiser International Open Invitational, 1981  Southern Open, 1987  Manufacturers Hanover Westchester Classic.
 
Snead was one of the best known golf players in the history of the game. A unique style of game strategy and excellent judgment is what makes this great player one of the best all time golf players.
